Kviskre – personvern
Privacy policy for Kviskre (iPhone and Mac). Norsk først, English below.
Personvernerklæring
Kviskre samler ikke inn, lagrer ikke og sender ikke personopplysninger.
Hva appen gjør med lyden din
- Lyd tas opp bare mens du dikterer – etter at du har startet opptaket med knappen i appen, Action-knappen, Kontrollsenter eller Siri/Snarveier.
- Lyden holdes i enhetens minne, transkriberes på enheten av talemodellen NB-Whisper, og kastes når teksten er klar. Ingen lyd skrives til disk og ingen lyd sendes noe sted.
Teksten du dikterer
- Teksten legges på utklippstavlen (på iPhone med utløpstid du kan velge) og i appens historikk, som bare finnes i minnet til appen avsluttes.
- På iPhone lagres den siste dikteringen i tillegg i appens private App Group-område, slik at Kviskre-tastaturet kan sette den inn der du skriver. Tastaturet leser bare dette området, og bare når du har gitt det full tilgang. Det sender ingenting videre.
Statistikk
Statistikksiden teller ord, dikteringer og taletid per dag. Bare tallene lagres, på enheten. Aldri teksten.
Nettverk
Appens eneste nettverkstrafikk er nedlastingen av talemodellen fra huggingface.co (Nasjonalbibliotekets NbAiLab), én gang per modell. Forespørselen inneholder ikke andre opplysninger enn det enhver filnedlasting sender.

Tillatelser
- Mikrofon: nødvendig for å diktere.
- Full tilgang for Kviskre-tastaturet (iPhone, valgfritt): brukes bare til å lese den siste dikteringen fra App Group-området. Tastaturet fungerer som vanlig tastatur uten.
- Tilgjengelighet / inndataovervåking (Mac): brukes til å lime inn teksten der markøren står og til å fange opp hurtigtasten. Ingen tastetrykk lagres.
Barn
Appen er ikke rettet mot barn og samler ikke inn opplysninger fra noen, uansett alder.

Privacy policy
Kviskre does not collect, store or transmit personal data.
What the app does with your audio
- Audio is captured only while you are dictating – after you start a recording with the button in the app, the Action button, Control Center or Siri/Shortcuts.
- The audio stays in the device's memory, is transcribed on the device by the NB-Whisper speech model and is discarded once the text is ready. No audio is written to disk and no audio is sent anywhere.
The text you dictate
- The text is placed on the clipboard (on iPhone with an expiry you can choose) and in the app's history, which exists in memory only until the app quits.
- On iPhone the latest dictation is also stored in the app's private App Group container so the Kviskre keyboard can insert it where you are typing. The keyboard only reads that container, and only when you have granted it Full Access. It sends nothing anywhere.
Statistics
The Statistics page counts words, dictations and speaking time per day. Only the numbers are stored, on the device. Never the text.
Network
The app's only network traffic is the one-time download of the speech model from huggingface.co (the National Library of Norway's NbAiLab). That request carries no information beyond what any file download sends.

Permissions
- Microphone: required to dictate.
- Full Access for the Kviskre keyboard (iPhone, optional): used only to read the latest dictation from the App Group container. The keyboard works as a normal keyboard without it.
- Accessibility / Input Monitoring (Mac): used to paste the text at the cursor and to detect the hotkey. No keystrokes are stored.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new date.
